Marketing and Corporate Relations Coordinator

As the Marketing and Corporate Relations Coordinator, you will be the key liaison for all Industry Symposia during the ERS Congress. From the initial allocation phase through to onsite execution and crisis management, you will manage the process from start to finish.

Other key aspects of this role will be to participate in site visits, updating the Congress website. The MCRC will also help the MCR Director organise the Marketing and Corporate Communications Committee.

Main responsibilities:

Industry symposia:

• End-to-end coordination of all Industry Symposia at the ERS Congress.
• Oversee planning, logistics, and execution — from allocation of session slots to real-time troubleshooting onsite.
• Serve as the primary contact for industry, supporting them throughout the preparation and delivery of their sessions.
• Liaise with all stakeholders involved, such as AV suppliers, Catering providers, Congress Venue, Security teams, and other logistical partners.
• Ensure smooth communication between ERS, industry representatives, and service providers.
• Liaise with all involved internal departments (Congress & Events, Scientific)
• Maintain clear documentation, timelines, and feedback loops to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Support marketing and corporate relations strategies related to industry engagement.

Your profile:

• Highly skilled in office administrative support and at ease with the Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of WordPress is a plus
• Experience working with Corporate Sponsors
• Experience with managing numerous providers
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English
• Ability to complete administrative tasks with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy within a strict timeline
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• High degree of confidentiality and reliability
• Open to travel to the ERS Congress for 7 days and 2 or 3 site visits
• Swiss or valid work permit
• Willing to learn, proactive, team player, enthusiastic, independent, able to work under pressure
