IT Lead Architect 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

For our client, a company in the insurance industry based in Bern, we are looking for a Lead Architect for a permanent role.

Your responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of our overarching IT architecture strategy with alignment of the technological roadmap and architectural principles to the company's business requirements and the unification of technologies in the role of Enterprise Architect
• Analysis of the existing IT system landscape and identification of improvement potential to gradually reduce the complexity of the technology portfolio
• Development and enforcement of standards, guidelines and best practices for IT architecture as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards, including regular audits
• Integrative collaboration with various stakeholders and active communication of the architectural strategy and standards
• Promoting innovative ideas and new technologies and strengthening digital transformation at the company

Your qualifications:

• Completed higher education (university, university of applied sciences, college) in the field of computer science, business informatics or engineering
• Further training or certificates in the field of IT or enterprise architecture (e.g. TOGAF) are an advantage
• At least 7-10 years of practical experience in IT, including several years in the architecture and integration of complex system landscapes in an agile environment
• High problem-solving and decision-making skills at different levels at the interface between IT and business
• Knowledge of the most common architectural frameworks and methods, IT security architecture and data protection as well as relevant technologies and tools
• Fluent written and spoken German and good English skills are an advantage
• Due to Swiss work permit restrictions, we can only consider applications from Swiss nationals, EU citizens as well as current work-permit holders for Switzerland.
