The growing societal focus on mental health is spurring new research on how interactive technologies can help people cultivate self‑awareness, resilience and flourishing. We are opening a 75 % Postdoctoral position in the Department of Information Systems (DESI) from HEC Lausanne of the University of Lausanne, to investigate AI‑enhanced, human‑centered tools that scaffold self‑reflection for well‑being.
Situated at the intersection of Human‑Computer Interaction (HCI), artificial intelligence and positive psychology, the project explores digital, analogue and hybrid interventions—ranging from adaptive journaling platforms to tangible prompts—that empower users to reflect on everyday experiences and sustain healthy habits.The successful candidate will design, build and rigorously evaluate these systems, translating evidence‑based insights into practical supports for individuals, teams and wider communities.

Workplace : Lausanne, Campus of Dorigny
Your responsibilities- At least 50% of your time conducting independent research on AI‑driven reflective supports for well‑being—conceiving studies, developing prototypes and publishing in top‑tier HCI/AI venues.
- Contribute 50% to teaching and other institutional activities (shared research, supervision of Msc/PhD students etc.)
- PhD in HCI, Computer Science, Information Systems.
- Willingness to do research in human‑centered AI, well‑being or mental‑health technologies
- Strong programming skills plus experience with rapid prototyping, data analysis and, ideally, large‑language‑model pipelines.
- Proven publication record and ability to write for A‑ranked conferences and journals.
- Full professional fluency in English (French an asset).
- Interest in teaching, mentoring and open, collaborative research culture.
