Head of Marketplace (Dickies EMEA)

Let’s Talk about the Role
We are looking for an exceptionally strong Head of Marketplace with an outstanding track record in progressive commercial execution to lead our Regional Commercial Department. In this newly created role, you will be directly reporting to the VP/General Manager Dickies EMEA, and you’ll be part of the Dickies EMEA leadership team.In this role you will lead the overall business development focusing on the biggest growth opportunities and you’ll be responsible for all commercial revenue streams across the entire EMEA marketplace including EU key countries and international territories across all wholesale channels and consumer touchpoints.
As progressive and visionary commercial leader you are accountable to manage and inspire the current marketplace organization and to drive the implementation and execution of new business models, to lead the marketplace transformation and to develop effective revenue growth strategies aligned with our evolved brand positioning and brand elevation strategy.
Together with your strong commercial team you are driving effective annual commercial planning and seasonal GTM execution with the objective to deliver accelerated double-digit revenue growth with specific focus on the EU wholesale markets, EU Strategic Key Accounts, Emerging Markets and Distributors.
In close liaison with the Regional General Manager of the Dickies Brand, you will set ambitious commercial objectives to further transform and elevate our commercial eco-system and execution. You’ll implement strong integrated marketplace segmentation, outline a mid-term roadmap for accelerated growth in prioritized EU key markets and international markets, set detailed financial targets and define action plans to achieve revenue and margin objectives.In this role you will empower your marketplace teams with tools and support to gain market share across the entire marketplace. This role will drive and shape the further evolution and expansion of the organizational structure aligned with the ambitious growth strategy and lead, coach and develop the associated teams and ambitious direct reports.
How You Will Make a Difference
Strategy/Business Model Transformation:
- Drive and execute progressive Marketplace Transformation
- Evolve organizational structure aligned with Dickies growth strategy
- Lead direct sales team and indirect teams for effective commercial execution
- Oversee the entire commercial activities and processes including budget setting, revenue forecasting, margin objectives and controlling
- Definition of distribution objectives and financial plan for defined marketplaces
- Generate new business aligned with brand strategy and further deepen existing client relationships
- Elevate omnichannel capabilities aligned with VF strategy
Marketplace Strategy:
- Develop and implement elevated integrated marketplace strategy and segmentation (IMS)
- Definition of seasonal GTM Marketplace execution in alignment with newly created GTM function, Regional Merchandising and Marketing team
- Drive seasonal sell-in campaigns in close partnership with GTM leadership and focus on prioritized Key Accounts and key territories
- Partner closely with regional Planning to elevate service levels and operational performance against defined KPIs
- Engage with Dickies Leadership team and VF Group leadership to define progressive Key Account strategies and to inform distribution choices aligned with overall VF Group Key Account Governance
Winning the consumer:
- Drive consumer-first and data-driven culture and translate insights into commercial execution along the seasonal GTM process
- Facilitate V2MOM process and best-in-class Category Management with focus on prioritized Key Accounts and key territories in close alignment and partnership with Merchandising- and Marketing teams
- Partner with Regional Merchandising team to define and implement dedicated merchandising assortment pillars aligned with prioritized consumer environments and Dickies brand positioning and brand elevation strategy
- Partner with marketing team to implement best-in-class consumer engagement strategies with focus on prioritized Key Accounts and consumer environments
Financial Steering & Gross-to-Net Management:
- Plan, manage and align Dickies EMEA marketplace financial plan with focus on key markets
- Develop FY and seasonal marketplace targets and financial forecast aligned with Brand Finance and Planning
- Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Annual tracking of progress against defined KPIs and financial plan
- Manage and track seasonal marketplace pre-order process and execution of in-season business
- Oversee and steer KA profitability, service models and overall commercial term framework
Progressive Team leadership and Change Management:
- Inspire purpose-led and high-performance driven team culture aligned with Dickies Brand DNA and VF purpose
- Build, coach and drive high performing organization
- Build Diversity & Inclusion Culture within his organization
- Drive best-in-class GTM vision and team culture informed by consumer centric approach
- Effectively lead and coach highly experienced and ambitious Senior Sales Managers and Country organization
- Building winning partnerships with Finance, Planning, Merchandising, DTC and Marketing teams
- Outstanding track record of delivering sustainable growth and team leadership with 15+ years' of experience and being previously engaged in a similar role, Head of Sales / Commercial Director / Head of Strategy and Go To Market
- University degree in Business Management, Finance or Marketing
- Background and track record in FMCG or globally leading Lifestyle Brand
- Must have a deep knowledge or understanding of the EMEA lifestyle, sporting goods and/or outdoor industry and values
- Must have experience, excellent knowledge and understanding of the EMEA lifestyle consumer
- Track record in Digital Business- and Channel Development
- Excellent Financial Acumen and P&L Management
- Highly analytical and strategic
- Winning team player and Coach
- Collaborates and communicates effectively
Key Competencies:
- Proven ability to grow new business and find new revenue opportunities
