Internship in Material Science and Varistors 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

This internship of at least 6 months offers hands-on experience in materials research and process development. You’ll contribute to impactful projects while learning from experts in a collaborative and supportive environment.

• Support research on metal oxide varistor materials and manufacturing processes
• Analyze samples using advanced characterization techniques
• Explore links between process parameters, microstructure, and material properties
• Document findings and present results to the research team
• Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research

• Currently pursuing a degree in Materials Science/Engineering or a related discipline (official enrollment is essential)
• Experience in ceramics and sinter technology is beneficial
• Hands-on experience in lab work and background knowledge in material analysis methods such as microscope, SEM and spectroscopy
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated mindset and ability to work independently
• Fluent command of English, both written and spoken; German is a plus
