What You Will Do
  • Develop and implement data acquisition systems, ensuring accurate and reliable measurements of critical parameters such as pressure, temperature, thrust, and flow rates.
  • Define sensor requirements, select appropriate instrumentation, and integrate them into test setups while ensuring proper calibration and validation.
  • Independently plan, design, and execute test campaigns for propulsion systems, including static fire tests, sensor validation, and performance characterization.
  • Develop and implement safety, contingency and emergency procedures for all testing activity
  • Deliver technical documentation, including test procedures, data analysis reports, and justifications for measurement methodologies.
  • Support the development of test rigs, infrastructure, and safety systems to facilitate efficient and repeatable testing.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions, providing input on testability and data collection strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers, to ensure seamless integration of test setups and accurate evaluation of propulsion system performance.

Requirements

What You´ll Need
  • BSc. or MSc. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Min. 2 years of experience in engineering with a focus on testing, data acquisition, and sensor integration.
  • Min. 2 years of experience in test execution, including setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
  • Hands-on experience with Testing and Safety as well as DAQ systems, instrumentation (pressure sensors, thermocouples, flow meters), and test automation.
  • Ideally, experience in several different phases: test planning, setup design, integration, execution, and data analysis.
  • Good communication skills, proactive attitude, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work to strict timescales as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team and autonomously.
  • The ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
  • Fluency in English language is required. German is a plus.
