In this frame, the company is currently seeking a dynamic Laboratory Technician to work with a passionate, detail-oriented, and international team on developing and maintaining our projects.
The position is within the Laboratory Section of Basic Research Dept. and reports to the Section Manager.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Assist Laboratory Manager and/or Researchers of the R&D team with planning the experiments, recommending supplies and equipment.
- Execute complex mechanical and chemical laboratory experiments (including high pressure and high temperature).
- Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager and/or Researchers of the R&D team to design and optimize testing protocols.
- Interact with Laboratory Manager and/or Researchers of the R&D team to execute the laboratory activities.
- Report to the Project Leaders the results of the work executed.
- Perform, understand and develop chemical analyses and develop new analytical methods.
- Keep updated the relevant documents of the laboratory.
- Keep updated with relevant trends in laboratory technologies.
- Build, test, install, and/or maintain technical laboratory equipment and testing units.
- Prepare reports and operational documentation.
- Understand, identify and report quickly issues/failures of the laboratory set-up and instrumentation.
- Solve electronical and mechanical issues in the laboratory.
- Ensure the optimal performance and continuous operation of chemical instrumentation throughout work activities.
- Collect, validate and execute data analysis of the results obtained from the laboratory tests.
- Constantly adapt to the continuous improvement of the laboratory technologies, instruments, analytical methods and protocols/methodologies.
- Identify and propose innovative solutions for experimental and technical procedures based on insights gained from completed activities.

Education
Technical diploma (e.g. Chemistry, Materials and Biotechnologies) or equivalent. B.Sc./M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry, Chemical or Process Engineering is considered a plus.
Experience- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment or pilot-scale chemical plants.
- Good work experience in a similar position and/or good competence in conducting laboratory research activities in the field of heterogeneous catalysis and/or multiphase non catalytic reactions at high pressure.
- Knowledge of main process instrumentation (e.g. valves, sensors, transmitters, controllers) and analytical methods (e.g. GC, HPLC).
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
- Ability to read and review P&IDs and electrical diagrams.
- Familiarity with safety management in high-risk environments (ATEX, toxic/flammable gases).
- Ability to act with precision and autonomy.
- Ability to interpret the requirements and propose and develop innovative solutions.
- An advantage is knowledge of written and spoken English.
- An advantage is know-how in Labview, Phyton and/or 3D technical cad.
