Your tasks
As the Senior Director of Finance you will be responsible for directing the US organization’s financial planning and accounting practices. You will be a key business partner to the President of the US organization. Additionally, you will manage the organization’s relationship with the parent company’s corporate staff, with indirect reporting responsibility to the EVP Finance BU Infection Control.Your direct reports will include the US Finance and IT department.
Compensation: $150,000-$180,000

Financial Management:
Support the President - US in implementing organizational goals and strategies
Present appropriate interpretation of financial information to add value to local and global senior executive staff in making sound business decisions
Provide leadership in the development of annual budgets, accounting and forecasting activities for the organization
Oversee and direct the preparation and issuance of the corporation’s monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements
Maintain responsibility and control of internal processes to ensure expenditures are within budget for the company and all functional groups
Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with key personnel
Analyze and communicate data that will positively impact the operations of the company
Provide forward-looking guidance on risks associated with the company’s operational performance
Interface with administrative services to ensure transaction activities are taking place in a timely and accurate manner
Make provisions for appropriate computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records; ensure compliance and accuracy of the financial reporting requirements and accounting controls
Evaluate the financial position of the organization and issues reports on the company’s financial circumstances
Direct and analyze studies of general economic, business and financial conditions and their impact on the organization’s operating costs and strategies
Remain current regarding all technical skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities
Ensure proper performance and organizational growth in a high-performance environment
Coordinate all tax matters including cross-border transaction related issues
Coordinate all relevant legal matters together with Human Resources and external partners
Ensure effective local execution of the global finance strategy
Liaise with auditors to ensure smooth and flawless procedures and reports
Contribute as a member of the global finance community and the local management team
Information Technology:
Ensure a functional and cost-efficient local ICT support structure
Establish best-in-class business processes
Manage IT projects
What you need to succeed
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant field
Minimum 5 years experience in similar roles and corporate structures
Demonstrated success working in a global matrix and culturally diverse organization
Outstanding leadership and management skills with demonstrated success in influencing and motivating individuals, obtaining results through others and sustaining high-performance teams
Able to manage, organize, and prioritize leading effectively through the dynamics of change
Strong business and financial acumen with a high level of customer focus and service delivery
Able to successfully collaborate with senior executives from other functional areas throughout the global organization
Able to analyze and interpret data, clearly present information and make recommendations for action
Adept at problem analysis and resolution at both the strategic and functional levels
Demonstrated ability to act quickly and decisively while ensuring appropriate due diligence is completed
Possess both short-and long-range planning skills with the ability to move seamlessly between big picture concepts and details
Direct knowledge of accounting standards: US GAAP, IFRS, and German GAAP
Self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and able to deal with competing priorities and deadlines
Results-oriented and focused towards defined goals
Structured and good command of systematic working methods
Strong technical skills: Excel, ERP Systems (preferably SAP) and reporting tools (such as Hyperion or Cognos)
Readiness for domestic and international travel approximately 2-4 times per year
