HSE Lead - Healthcare Industry

The HSE Lead will be responsible for the prevention, risk assessment and coordination of occupational health and safety across manufacturing sites.
This role plays a critical part in fostering a strong HSSE culture, ensuring compliance with Swiss regulations and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
Health, Safety & Security- Drive the implementation of HSSE policies, procedures and standards in line with corporate and regulatory requirements
- Lead risk assessments and ensure proper implementation of mitigation measures on the shop floor
- Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization
- Ensure availability and proper use of safety equipment and tools
- Manage chemical safety (storage, safety data sheets)
- Oversee incident reporting, investigations and CAPA processes
- Support audits and ensure compliance with local regulations (SUVA)
- Advise and support line managers on HSSE matters and legal obligations
- Coordinate safety training and capability-building initiatives
- Supervise contractor activities (permits to work, fire permits, work at height, etc.)
- Ensure security systems and emergency response processes are in place and effective
- Lead emergency preparedness activities (evacuation drills, first aid organization, rescue chain)
- Ensure compliance of buildings and facilities with health and safety standards
- Drive ergonomics and occupational health initiatives
- Lead environmental and sustainability initiatives across sites
- Manage waste disposal and ensure environmental compliance
- Monitor and report sustainability KPIs and carbon footprint initiatives
- Drive energy efficiency and environmental improvement programs
- Lead the sustainability committee and associated action plans
- Act as HSSE subject matter expert within cross-functional projects
- Lead and contribute to HSSE-related projects, ensuring proper planning and execution
- Monitor and report on project progress and objectives
- Bachelor's degree in HSSE or a related field
- SUVA certification ("Chargé de Sécurité") or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE role within an industrial environment
- Experience in HSSE consulting is a strong advantage
- Strong knowledge of Swiss HSSE regulations (SUVA)
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
