R&D Process Engineer (Junior / Senior)

Tasks- Process and process flow design optimized for high yield and throughput
- Develop fixtures, tooling, and equipment for prototypes and high-volume manufacturing of new products in collaboration with Mechanical Engineering
- Design and carry out feasibility studies of prototypes targeted for mass production in close collaboration with Product Engineering and Operations
- Responsible for process validation, and release of the developed processes including capability studies, statistical process control, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting of errors
- Select, install, modify, and maintain process equipment including IQ, OQ, PQ
- Process documentation, integration of process into production management environment, and training of co-workers on the new processes
- Travel up to 10% to transfer the developed processes to multiple production sites
- Collaborate and contribute in multidisciplinary project teams
- MSc degree in microtechnology, chemistry, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent (Uni or FH)
- Experience in process development, preferably in high volume manufacturing environment
- Knowledge in micro-assembly and semiconductor processing (MEMS), surface activation technologies
- Knowledgeable of optical metrology methods (2D and 3D coordinate measurement systems, microscopes, spectrometer, etc.)
- Familiarity with FMEA, Gage R&R, DOE, SPC and other statistical modelling
- Proficient in reading/interpreting engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning
- Open-minded for challenging ideas in dynamic environments with changing priorities
- Quick thinker, creative, persistent, and empathic
- Proficiency in English, and German is an advantage
