About the role:

We’re looking for a Senior Quantitative Software Engineer to join Triaina in a foundational role where you will own critical parts of our architecture and shape the technical direction of the platform. You will build the core infrastructure powering predictive modeling, large-scale backtesting, and data pipelines—combining C++ expertise in performance-critical systems with Python for analytics and model integration.

Your work will enable both fast experimentation and reliable, production-grade deployment of models.

What you will do:

  • Core C++ Systems — Architect and implement performance-critical systems and computational models that support backtesting, predictive computation, and data-driven workflows.
  • Data & Modeling Pipelines — Build Python frameworks for feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Integration — Partner with researchers and data scientists to turn models into scalable, production-ready infrastructure.
  • Optimization — Profile and tune systems across compute, memory, and distributed environments.
  • Engineering Standards — Drive best practices in architecture, testing, CI/CD, and observability.

Requirements

Requirements
  • System architecture — Ability to design and evolve robust, reliable software architectures that can scale with the business.
  • C++ mastery — Proven track record building performance-critical systems and driving architectural decisions.
  • Python for ML pipelines — Strong ability to design and deliver data-driven workflows for feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and integration into production systems.
  • Performance engineering — Skilled at profiling, benchmarking, and optimizing systems across compute and memory.
  • Technical judgment — Demonstrated impact through independent decisions and delivery of production-grade systems.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed or serverless systems.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and test automation.
  • Domain knowledge in supply chain, logistics, or optimization systems.

Benefits

What we offer:

  • Generous compensation with additional performance incentives.
  • Opportunity to work alongside experienced people with deep knowledge in software engineering, data science & shipping business who are always eager to mentor.
  • Career growth opportunities and a structured development discussion every 4 months.
  • Signal’s hybrid remote work policy currently includes 6 working days at premises per month,
  • 2-4 weeks of onboarding training to prepare you for your new role
  • Personal learning budget for training, seminars, conferences (750 to 2000 EUR annually depending on seniority).
  • Team Bonding & Events – Regular activities to connect with your team.

Ready to shape the future of shipping technology? Then go ahead and apply here!

Strict adherence to Confidentiality, Intellectual Property and Non-Compete provisions is expected.
