As Accounting Manager and Deputy to the Head of Accounting, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our accounting landscape across multiple European entities. You will ensure financial excellence and compliance while continuously optimizing core processes and empowering your colleagues to deliver best-in-class results.
Your Mission:
You efficiently supervise and execute posting batches of journals across daily business for seven European legal entities.
You perform quality reviews, validate accounting, and ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
You manage inventory closing, revaluations, and the calculation of provisions.
You monitor and enhance core accounting processes, driving improvements in efficiency and quality.
You analyze complex accounting topics, assess company needs, and propose effective solutions.
You oversee accounting areas such as assets, working capital, and other balance sheet items, ensuring compliance and best practices.
You collaborate with business units to analyze revenue and costs, providing guidance on financial completeness and accruals.
You support and guide the accounting team, ensuring effective task execution and continuous development.
You contribute to the development of the accounting master data model, ensuring high data quality and business alignment.
You:
Hold a chartered accountant certification (e.g., Swiss federal diploma, CPA, ACCA), or have a Bachelor’s/Master’s in finance, accounting, or controlling.
Bring experience as an auditor or as a lead in accounting, with confidence in statutory and international reporting.
Demonstrate at least 4 years of experience in financial accounting, controlling, or financial audit.
Apply innovative approaches to data processing, thinking beyond traditional T-accounting.
Possess strong analytical and persistent problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering effective solutions.
Use advanced Microsoft Excel and are familiar with data analysis tools such as Power Query, Power BI, or similar.
Demonstrate proven ability to leverage AI to significantly increase productivity.
Quickly comprehend complex issues, understanding their implications for accounting and reporting.
