A kind and friendly British-Danish family living in Gland, Vaud is looking for a live-in housekeeper-nanny who is caring and dependable. They have two children, aged 4 and 6, and live in a spacious three-story house with five bedrooms and a garden.

Start Date: May 2025
Contract Type: Live-in Nanny Housekeeper. Can be 7 days or 4-5 days live-in per week.
Language Requirement: English
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 7:30 pm (with a two-hour break during the day)
Flexibility: Occasional weekend assistance and extra babysitting required (overtime compensated accordingly)
Childcare conditions: Shared-care approach when a parent is at home
Accommodation: Private bedroom and bathroom.
Pets: None

Main tasks:

Housekeeping:

Cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms, and all living areas
Organizing and tidying wardrobes
Laundry and ironing
Preparing breakfast and simple family meals, mostly dinner.
Making snacks for the children
Welcoming guests and offering drinks

Childcare Duties:

Engaging in playtime with the children, primarily in the afternoons
Helping with bath time
Occasional evening babysitting (twice a month on Saturdays)

Additional Duties: Travelling with the family if needed (within Switzerland and Europe)

Requirements

EU/Swiss passport or Swiss Permit
Prior experience as a Nanny-Housekeeper with private families
Written letters of recommendation or job certificates that we can validate
Comfortable caring for toddlers
Excellent cleaning standards
Cooking skills for simple family meals
Willing to work on a live-in basis at least 4-5 days a week
Dynamic, organised
Available to travel with the family
A driving license is advantageous but not mandatory

Benefits

Salary: CHF 4'800-5'000 gross per month.

For candidates residing in Geneva or Vaud, the salary in kind deduction (CHF 990 per month for food and accommodation) does not apply.
