The Position
The Center of Accounting Practices (CAP) is responsible for finance activities in a broad variety of around 20 in Switzerland located legal entities. As a member of the CAP, you will manage relevant core finance processes, and have a strong financial backbone.You thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment and are inspired by our purpose and vision.
We are seeking individuals who embody the finance mindset & behaviours and support a living network that will leverage the knowledge and financial expertise of the team to deliver foundational and squad-prioritized work in line with the organizational principles.
The ideal candidate:
You hold a degree in Finance and have 5+ years of experience across various finance areas. You demonstrate strong financial expertise and the ability to work in a self-aligning team with minimal hierarchy. You naturally take initiative and demonstrate leadership in collaborative settings, and have the ability to guide others without formal authority.You embrace open feedback and take shared accountability seriously.
With a strong capability to understand and operate across diverse business models, spanning both operational and financial organizations, you act as an effective influencer. You are passionate about exploring new tasks and challenges, eager to pilot innovative approaches, and are not afraid to constructively question the status quo.As a coach and catalyst, you play an active role in driving the ongoing finance transformation.
The Opportunity:
- Variable accounting tasks based on the individual team needs
- Assist the preparation of the monthly group reporting for individual Roche companies
- Statutory reporting in accordance with Swiss code of obligation
- Tax calculations for local affiliates (incl. OECD minimum tax)
- Business partnering activities in dedicated areas
- Support individual accounting-related projects
- Collaborate with Roche’s shared service centers to ensure seamless execution of finance processes, while ensuring clear ownership of respective responsibilities
Who you are:
- Finance degree (Swiss Certified Public Accountant, university degree or equivalent) with proven finance capabilities (IFRS and Swiss or German statutory) and technical skills
- Solid understanding of finance processes and systems, including SAP FI, CO or MM (or equivalent)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with strong collaboration and influencing skills
- Capacity to navigate complex, broad and diverse challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset and inspiring curiosity
- Ability to think E2E with an enterprise view and deliver high-quality, compliant financials
- Passion for transformation and catalyzing those changes across the network
- Commit to both personal and team development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and mutual growth
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
