Imagine this — you’re designing the brains behind our next-gen aircraft. As an Electronic Design Engineer, you’ll dive into building custom PCBs loaded with microcontrollers (like STM32), SOCs (like Zynq), power supplies, and analog magic. These boards control everything from sensors to valves to actuators—basically, they make the propulsion and cryogenic fuel systems tick.

You’ll be hands-on from design to testing, making sure our systems run smooth and fast at the edge of aerospace innovation.

At Destinus, we are revolutionizing the defense industry with cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our innovative technologies are designed to meet the unique demands of modern defense operations, delivering unparalleled speed, precision, and cost effectiveness.

Destinus partners with government agencies and defense organizations worldwide to provide advanced solutions for mission-critical operations, enabling a new era of efficiency and technological superiority. Join us in shaping the future of defense with groundbreaking aerospace innovations.

What You’ll Do
  • Derive block diagrams from requirements and select suitable architectures and implementations to meet these requirements
  • Define electrical architecture, select components, perform analysis, capture schematics, prototype, bring-up, debug, document, manage products, and oversee manufacturing and testing of the designed equipment
  • Generate comprehensive production data packages for PCB manufacturers
  • Define mechanical layouts and mounting methods
  • Document connector interfaces and support harnessing teams with loom designs
  • Work closely with software and firmware teams for initial testing and integration
  • Write software to validate the board, including Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
  • Support integration and testing at both the subsystem and system levels
  • Provide support for hardware through test, production, integration, and flight phases

Requirements

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of electronic product experience developing electrical hardware from concept through production.
  • Work-experience with simulation software like Spice, Multisim or CircuitCity.
  • Experience with electrical schematic capture software (Altium, Orcad or similar).
  • Experience with designing and testing digital electronics and/or mixed circuit boards from concept through production consisting of, but not limited to processors, FPGAs, AD and DA converters, and power supplies.
  • Experience with C, C++ or similar low-level language.
  • Willingness to take ownership and accountability for your own actions and mistakes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, crucial for algorithm development and data analysis.
  • Good communication skills, enabling effective collaboration.
  • Languages - English mandatory, French and/or Spanish a plus.

Who You Are

You’re the kind of person who gets a thrill from turning complex ideas into working hardware. You love being hands-on—soldering, testing, tweaking until everything runs just right. You’re curious, proactive, and not afraid to dive into the nitty-gritty details of electronics design.
When things get tricky, you don’t panic—you problem-solve. You thrive in fast-moving environments where innovation never stops, and you enjoy collaborating with teammates who are just as passionate about tech as you are. Autonomy, ownership, and a good challenge?

That’s your sweet spot.
