Global Category Manager - Indirect Spend (a)

In this strategic procurement role, you will lead the global category management of indirect spend areas across a diverse and evolving organizational landscape. Working closely with stakeholders from multiple business units and regions, you will develop sourcing strategies, drive supplier performance, and ensure alignment with broader business objectives.

  • Define and implement global sourcing strategies for key indirect categories (e.g. professional services, marketing, HR, IT, facilities, etc.)
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including market analysis, supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure procurement solutions are fit for purpose
  • Identify and drive cost optimization opportunities while managing risks and ensuring quality of supply
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance through structured governance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support the harmonization of procurement practices across regions and leverage global spend
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and reporting requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, with a focus on indirect categories and international exposure
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills with a proactive, analytical mindset
  • Track record of managing complex sourcing projects in matrixed or multinational environments
  • Fluent in English; additional languages (particularly German) are a plus
  • Proficiency with ERP and procurement tools (e.g. SAP, Coupa, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 10%)
