This role is contributing to the overall success of ABB PMA

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Independent implementation of purchasing projects: Determination of requirements, supplier selection, negotiation, order processing and scheduling up to series delivery
• Management of purchasing projects from kick-off to handover to operational purchasing
• Identification and analysis of procurement requirements for projects, including the entire technical and administrative processing, in cooperation with various specialist departments and execution of order processing/scheduling through to series delivery.
• Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
• Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets.
• Supporting in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.
• Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.

• Completed technical or commercial training with further training in purchasing (e.g. qualified purchasing manager)
• Several years of experience in project purchasing of technical components in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of strategic purchasing is an advantage
• Very good knowledge of SAP (MM module) and MS Office
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
• Assertiveness and a confident manner
• Analytical, networked thinking and experience in process and project management
• Negotiating skills and a solid basic understanding of financial contexts
• Outgoing and trustworthy personality with strong interpersonal skills
• Initiative and the ability to develop and implement ideas
