Position Overview

We’re looking for a proactive and attentive R&D / Manufacturing Engineer with experience in medical device manufacturing. You’ll work closely with our contract manufacturers to ensure smooth production of our three products, support design transfer, and help resolve any supply or manufacturing issues.

You’ll also contribute to product improvements and new designs.

Tasks
  • Lead design transfer and manufacturing projects with contract manufacturers and other suppliers
  • Collaborate with R&D and product teams to define product specs and manufacturing requirements
  • Work on design and development projects to enhance our current products
  • Support contract manufacturers in compiling and maintaining the Device Master Record (drawings, assembly instructions, QC procedures, etc.)
  • Monitor production progress and troubleshoot issues—remotely and on-site
  • Keep supplier documentation organized and compliant with ISO 13485
  • Evaluate and qualify new suppliers and monitor existing ones
Requirements
  • BSc or MSc in engineering (mechanical, electrical, life sciences, or similar)
  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing and prototyping (milling, turning, additive manufacturing, welding, joining, injection molding, silicone casting, mixing of chemical compounds, …)
  • Familiarity with process development, quality control, and statistical methods (e.g. Six Sigma, Gage R&R, process validation)
  • Solid working knowledge of the medical device development process
  • A problem-solving mindset, openness to challenges and a collaborative spirit
  • Capacity to analyze, summarize and present to stakeholders for decision. Clear, open communication and self-awareness
  • Ability to work in a matrix structure and manage your own goals
  • Professional level in English and ideally either German or French.
