Fish farming operator

Valperca SA, the leading pike perch and perch producer in Switzerland, is looking for a fish farming technician for its warm-water RAS grow-out facility in Susten & Raron in the canton of Valais/Switzerland

• Work in production (e.g. feeding, grading, cleaning)
• Monitoring fish stocks and important plant parameters
• Assistance in the maintenance and repair of technical equipment
• On-call and weekend duties alternating with colleagues
• Assist in processing when needed

• Reliability, commitment and physical strength
• A strong sense of responsibility and respect for the animals
• Ability to work and positively communicate in a team and to work independently
• Willingness to learn and the will to understand the processes in the plant
• Experience in and creative mechanical problem solving as a plus
• Good level of German and/or English is required
• Driving license is needed
• Swiss or EU citizenship is mandatory for obtaining a work permit for this position
