About Mechanical Technician - Temporary Contract 6 months:
Within Distalmotion’s Instruments R&D team, the Mechanical Technician is responsible for executing laboratory activities related to our robotic surgical instruments, such as prototype manufacturing, design verification, tool validation or complaint investigations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute and document Instrument’s design verification tests according to established test protocols.
- Execute and document Tool validation tests according to established test protocols.
- Participate in the definition of test protocols and test method elaboration.
- Assemble instrument prototypes, support continuous process improvements or complaints’ investigations related activities.
- Execute tasks related to the installation, development and maintenance of the instruments laboratory area, which includes a prototype manufacturing line, equipment qualifications/maintenances and test methods.
- Establish and maintain appropriate documents and records in compliance with Distalmotion’s Quality Management System.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both internal and external to the company.
Work Experience and Education requirements:
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in mechanics, mechatronics, metrology, physics or similar.
- Experience in medical device organization or similar regulated fields is an advantage.
- Experience in Quality Control or Production areas is an advantage.
- Languages: French, English
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required:

- Good communication skills, team player, proactive and autonomous.
- Meticulous, with a strong attention to detail and quality.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet project needs.
- At ease with the operation of metrological instrumentation.
- Keen to learn and able to identify learning paths to be successful.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, creativity, pragmatic skills.
- Experience in office software and basic statistical analysis with Excel, Minitab, Matlab or similar.
