Senior Fab Data Analyst
At Lumiphase, we are looking for a Senior Fab Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to the development of our next-generation integrated photonic technology. In this role, you will be at the core of our innovation, extracting and analyzing complex fabrication data to support with the optimizion of both individual components and full photonic integrated circuits.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, applying advanced data analytics to drive process improvements, ensure quality, and enable the successful development of cutting-edge photonic solutions. This position offers versatile responsibilities in a dynamic environment, where your expertise will directly shape the performance and scalability of our technology.
Tasks
As a Fab Data Analyst, you will:
- Extract, visualize and analyze PCM, statistical process control data and component data; correlate component data with process control data using Python code; visualize and analyze measurement data against fab splits; control process control data against specifications
- Contribute to the process control plan: implement controls; analyze process capabilities; define specifications with design team; trigger improvement when needed
- Analyze particle density data and identify patterns and root causes for defects
- Run Gauge R&R & SPC analysis
- Develop data visualization tools in Python
- Coordinate activities with data engineering and other groups
- Contribute to fabrication process development activities if needed
- Document and present results
- Master or PhD in physical sciences, informatics or engineering
- Solid knowledge of Python coding and SQL, especially statistics libraries; Experience with DevOps or GIT is a plus
- 3+ years industry experience in Data analysis/Photonics/Semiconductor fields
- High proficiency in statistical data analysis for product development and process control.
- Proven ability in coordination and management of own projects or complex tasks in a matrix organization
- Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment, ready to deal with rapidly shifting priorities
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills and team working attitude.
- Creative, motivated, critical-thinking, and hands-on attitude with the drive to tackle hard challenges and with attention to details
- Fluent English (spoken and written) with strong verbal and written technical communication skills

Our recruitment process consists of three stages:
- A 30 min. phone interview to discuss your general career motivations, and present our company and this role.
- A 1-1.5 hour phone interview with 1-2 members of the hiring team to deep dive into the core skills requirements.
- An on-site visit to interview with and meet many members of the team that you would be working in. This often includes lunch and gives you a strong sense of the company culture and individuals.
Then, both parties take their decisions! We aim to complete all steps in one month, but also allow for modifications to ensure both sides have a full picture of the skills and culture match to take the decision in an informed way.
