Investment Controller Private Market Portfolios

Aufgaben

Monitoring complex private market portfolios, NAV calculations, capital calls (planning and coordination) and distributions, liaising with internal teams and external service providers / Supporting internal specialist teams, senior management and investors / Executing the quarterly NAV and year-end closing process, including reviewing the work of the external service provider / Performing waterfall and carried interest calculations, measuring the profitability of an investment (gross and net) / Controlling loan transactions and management fee agreements / ensuring accounting is in line with accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP) and Limited Partnership Agreements (LPA) / Controlling of external service provider with the review of calculations and controlling of fund fees and expenses / Accompanying the annual audit process for the assigned funds in coordination with the fund administrator and the auditors / Collaborate with internal teams by providing expertise on product development or new fund launches / Provide information and data to respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders / Conduct ad-hoc analysis based on fund or investor activity to support the investment, tax and compliance teams / Support large and small projects related to the funds / Ad hoc project

Qualifikation

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Banking & Finance / Completed or advanced CPA, ACCA or CFA degree / Practical knowledge of one or more private asset classes (private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure) / Knowledge of private market fund domiciles, e.g. Luxembourg, Guernsey, Delaware / Experience with accounting and operation of private equity funds / Experience at an alternative investment company, audit firm and/or fund administrator / Knowledge of fund structures (closures, capital calls, distributions), fee structures (management fees, carried interest, clawback) and private equity and/or private credit investment transactions / Good knowledge of IFRS and ideally US GAAP / Knowledge of valuation approaches and methodologies for private investments and related guidance / Client service mindset and strong communication skills / IT flair (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx) as well as advanced Excel skills / German as well as English.
