Network Engineer / ICT System Engineer

GlobalEngineer Ltd is an innovative company, active in multiple engineering branches, such as equipment and plant engineering, welding, development of new welding processes and their technologies as well as testing and model verification. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Network Engineer / ICT System Engineer in Zürich.

• Development, implementation and optimization of network concepts for technical systems and their networking.
• Analysis of network requirements and creation of tailor-made solutions for the integration and communication of the systems.
• Configure and manage network elements (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) for specific applications and systems.
• Ensuring network performance, stability, and security for all integrated systems.
• Conducting tests, failure analysis and network architecture optimizations.
• Documentation of network concepts and solutions as well as training of relevant teams.
• Cooperation with internal development teams of the systems as well as external partners.
• Contact person for our development teams in the field of networking.

• Apprenticeship as (CH) Network Engineer, ICT System Engineer or (DE) IT Specialist System Integration or a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, network technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the development and implementation of network solutions for technical or industrial systems.
• In-depth knowledge of configuring and managing network systems (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs).
• Certificates such as CCNA, CCNP or comparable qualifications in the network area are an advantage.
• Knowledge of integrating network solutions into complex systems and ensuring system communication.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Team-oriented way of working and good communication skills.
• Experience in the field of IT security/information security is an advantage.
• Languages: English spoken and written, German desirable.
