Sentec applies latest scientific results and engineering technologies across the three core platforms transcutaneous monitoring, intrapulmonary percussive ventilation and electrical impedance tomography. The company researches, develops and manufactures all products exclusively in-house.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive the conceptual design and development of medical device components and systems – from requirement definition through to prototyping and evaluation.
- Create CAD models, technical drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and test specifications.
- Take ownership of verification, validation, and the regulatory documentation related to mechanical assemblies.
- Support the industrialization process and ensure a smooth transition from development to production.
- Assist the procurement team in technical discussions with suppliers.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnology, Mechatronics or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years' engineering work experience including CAD design and drawing generation (ideally CATIA & SolidWorks)
- Strong knowledge of materials and processes, especially metals and plastics used in micro-scale medical device applications
- Experience in sub-project management and supplier collaboration
- Fluency in German AND English is essential; French is an asset.
- Experience with coatings and adhesive bonding is a plus
- Experience with patient-applied accessories such as medical patches, passive electronic components, or electrodes is a plus
- Meaningful work on products that save lives or effectively support patient therapy
