Within Siemens Smart Infrastructure, you will be part of our Buildings Business Unit, which brings together the full portfolio of products, software and services for buildings and adjacent infrastructure.
We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to join our Business Unit Smart Infrastructure Buildings (SI B) as the Head (f/m/d) of Global Supply Chain Management, in Zug, Switzerland.
In this pivotal role, you will take full ownership for our global manufacturing network, our global logistics, and global procurement for our product business, driving operational efficiencies and taking our production and supply footprint to the next level.The SCM network consists of 8 factories and 3 distribution centres worldwide.

Your new responsibilities- Lead all aspects of the global SCM and factory network, ensuring seamless and efficient operations across manufacturing, procurement and logistics. Aim to optimize the supply chain, value chain, product cost, delivery, capacity utilization, and inventory turnover
- Drive footprint optimization by developing a future-proof manufacturing and supply footprint that supports business needs and diversification
- Ensure competitive lead times and timely deliveries to customer. Manage logistics to sites, distribution centres, and customers
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks
- Develop procurement strategies and optimize supplier management to achieve the best material cost level
- Leverage lean methods, digitalization, and automation technologies to boost operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability across the network
- Encourage and lead a diverse team of operations professionals, providing mentorship and support to achieve strategic and operational goals
- Ensure quality performance and continuous quality improvements of factories and suppliers
- Ensure cybersecurity in the supply chain to safeguard critical infrastructure, sensitive information, and business continuity
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Push and support programs to optimize the future carbon footprint of our SCM
- Collaborate with the PLM teams to optimize product costs through design and cost-value engineering
- Support business strategy by allocating production volumes to target markets
- Collaborate with Siemens IT and SI IT as well with other Siemens SCM partners to drive together innovation and leverage synergies in areas such as digitalization, automation and AI
We are looking for an inspiring leader who can balance operational efficiency with innovative thinking to take our SCM operations to the next level.
Your talents and experience- A Master's degree in engineering or a related field with an affinity to supply chain and manufacturing
- Proven international experience as a Head (f/m/d) of Operations / Manufacturing or a similar leadership role, with experience in managing operational performance and adapting footprint and supply chain strategy to business needs and development
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain systems, with a clear vision for future trends in automation and digitalization
- Proven ability to lead change and drive transformational initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven track record to empower and lead teams to achieve ambitious goals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, using a data-driven approach to make strategic decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with partners at all levels
- Fluent in both written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively in professional settings
- Fluency in spoken German would be an advantage
- 2-3 days per week of mobile working is standard
