Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a highly dedicated and client driven Institutional Sales professional to join our State Street Investment Management (State Street IM) team in Switzerland. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our Swiss institutional business as well as covering our local client base.

Reporting directly to the Head State Street IM AG Switzerland & Head Institutional Business Switzerland you will have the opportunity to become part of a highly driven, multi-cultural team.

The Swiss Institutional Team is responsible for establishing, leading and developing relationships with Swiss institutional investors, bringing them the very best of State Street IM. The unit is focused on partnering with pension schemes, insurances, foundations, investment foundations, single family offices and consultants, with the ambition of growing our local market share.

As Institutional Sales (Account Executive) professional within State Street IM's Swiss Institutional Business Team, your role is to build meaningful, trust-based relationships with new prospects, existing clients, their advisors and other service providers, as we help solve their challenges with the aim of becoming their primary investment partner.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities and relationships with institutional clients,
prospects and consultants in Switzerland
  • Managing and developing a set of institutional clients independently and take accountability and responsibility for the relationship with key decision-makers
  • Accountable for achieving ambitious annual sales targets and revenue goals through proactive
investor engagement
  • Building and advancing a self-created sales pipeline for institutional clients and prospects
  • Bring the best of State Street IM (and State Street overall) to the client. You should be the client’s conduit into SSGA and the subject matter expert on the client for the rest of the firm. Act as the client’s advocate, deepening State Street Investment Management's understanding of your clients to enable State Street IM to tailor solutions that address their needs
  • Distribution of State Street Investment Management best in class products and services
  • Present at client and prospect meetings, including final pitch presentations, due diligence sessions
and portfolio review meetings
  • Responsible for the completion and coordination of Request for Proposals (RfPs) and Request for Information (RfIs), ensuring timely and high-quality submissions aligned with clients requirements
  • Initiating and contributing to strategic sales and marketing initiatives, including targeted mailings, roadshows, conferences and events
  • Conducting analysis of market trends and potential opportunities to support business development and client engagement efforts
  • Contribute to client satisfaction and retention via best-in-class client service capability and activity
  • Leading client-specific projects, including coordination with internal stakeholders across legal, compliance and operations and serve as a key point of contact for handling inquiries from both clients and prospects
  • Work closely with global colleagues in Sales and Relationship Management, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Product and Operations to ensure that we grow and maintain our business in a client-centric manner

Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Business or Finance (University/FH/HF) and/or CFA/CAIA/AZEK designation
  • Several years of relevant experience in the investment industry with institutional/professional investors
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to execute independently yet also maintain strong team orientation
  • Proven experience in winning and servicing institutional client accounts
  • Fluency in German and English, French and/or Italian beneficial
  • Knowledge and experience with different investment vehicles (such as segregated mandates, UCITS mutual funds, ETFs, Swiss Institutional Funds, etc.) and their operational principles
