The opportunity
For our Business Unit High Voltage Products in Zurich-Oerlikon, we are looking for an R&D Engineer to strengthen our team for High Voltage Circuit Breakers development. How you'll make an impact- Execute product-development-related engineering activities for specific R&D projects from concept to series implementation, ensuring technical alignment with cross-functional experts and project stakeholders
- Support the Design Lead in product development topics and ensure structured documentation of development activities
- Plan and supervise assembly, disassembly and inspection of prototypes together with other experts
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of R&D processes and activities
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related subject from a Polytechnical/Technical University
- Working experience in an R&D environment is a plus
- Experience in project management is a plus
- Good know-how in 3D CAD and FEM software tools required
- High expectations on quality of work in all regards
- Independent, proactive and goal-oriented personality
- Practically oriented and hands-on way of working
- Self-motivated, committed, willing to learn
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent command of English and German, both written and spoken
