Beverage Process and Technology Manager

Develop, optimize, and standardize beverage manufacturing processes, including blending, mixing, filtration, thermal treatments, carbonation, preservation, and packaging technologies.
  • Lead technology transfer activities, ensuring successful scale-up of new formulations from laboratory and pilot plant environments to full commercial production.
  • Design, execute, and document process validation protocols, commissioning activities, and production trials.
  • Support the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, sustainability, and operational performance.
  • Manage and coordinate activities within the R&D pilot plant and application laboratory.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Participate in research and innovation projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and industrial development programs.
  • Support process transfer projects between manufacturing sites and ensure consistent implementation of technical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including HACCP, GMP, ISO standards, and local regulations.
  • Maintain ISO-related procedures, risk assessments, and technical documentation for the R&D center.
  • Support internal and external audits and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop strong relationships with external suppliers and technology partners to identify and evaluate innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to sustainability and ESG projects focused on reducing energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, and environmental impact throughout the production process.
  • Prepare technical reports, project documentation, risk assessments, and performance updates for senior stakeholders.

  • Master's degree in Food Science & Technology, Food Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within the beverage, food, or liquid processing industry.
  • Previous experience in spirits, brewing, fermentation, or distillation processes would be considered a strong advantage.
  • Strong technical understanding of beverage processing technologies, industrial equipment, process automation, and manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in product scale-up, industrialization, and technology transfer projects.
  • Hands-on experience in pilot plant environments and process validation activities.
  • Knowledge of sensory science and product evaluation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality systems, analytical methods, microbiology, chemistry, and food regulations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and industrial data management tools such as LIMS or formulation management software.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in multicultural and international environments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, flexibility, and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure project success.
  • Fluent English is mandatory. French is highly desirable. Spanish and/or Italian would be considered an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time, primarily across Europe.
